About the Mat-Su Monitor

The Mat-Su Monitor is the student publication of Mat-Su College. We publish news about what's happening on campus. We also aim to provide an outlet for students' commentary and creative works.

The Monitor has published a print edition nearly continuously since 1978. We established this website in October 2025.

Mat-Su College is located in Palmer, Alaska, and is a campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage. It is part of the larger University of Alaska system.

We welcome contributions from all Mat-Su College students, staff, and faculty.
